Wintersingers 2017

It’s that time of year, when my whole family gets into the Jeep (this year my brother drove in his truck too, they asked if I wanted to go with him, but I was in the mood for a Jeep Adventure), and we drive all the way to the Wintersinger Tree Farm.
This year it wasn’t just my Mom, Dad, Sean (my brother) and Ceilidh (my sister, her name is pronounced Kaylee), this year we also had Sean’s girlfriend Melissa with us too, and of course we had to take 2 of the 3 dogs with us too. Mal has been having issues with a very bad infection, and he’s getting better but Mom and Dad thought it best to leave him home, in case the day stressed him out and he got bad again.

Wicket got covered in snow from running under all the trees, he thought he was in doggy heaven and he was claiming each and every tree as his own.

Guardians of the Galaxy Weekend

I had so much fun this weekend.

On Friday I got home and it was pouring rain, which I loved. Raindrops fell on my face and made me laugh. Mom said that I was part of a small group of people that were really enjoying all the rain that’s been falling.
I showed off the potato that I brought home from school, that I picked all by myself in the horticulture class. Everybody in my family was very impressed with my potato, and they all want to have a taste of my ‘perfect potato’ but I don’t think I want to share.

On Saturday we got up in the morning and went and saw Guardians of the Galaxy. Our Jeep is in the shop getting fixed, so we took a cab, which I’d never done before and I thought it was a lot of fun. I laughed a lot while we drove there.
We got to the movie theater early so we got to go to the arcade and play video games while we waited for the movie.

The movie was a lot of fun. I sat in my chair for a bit, but I think Dad was nervous so he put me on his lap, and then Mom took a turn holding onto me at the end of the movie, when she was feeling all emotions and needed a hug.
I liked the movie. Groot was the best, but Rocket was pretty funny too. I really liked all the explosions and the action was fast and awesome. Just like I love it. Explosions and all the fights made me scream so loud in the theater. Which Dad loved! He kept shushing me, but I knew he was happy I was screaming so I just kept doing it.

After the movie we went for a walk from the theater to the Mandarin restaurant to have lunch, and I ate so much food. I had some mashed potatoes, salmon and other yummies but most important, I ate so much dessert. Cherry cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, lemon meringue pie, chocolate cake, chocolate cream pie, rice pudding, jell-o and whip cream, and butter tarts. Yummy yummy yummy!

Then we went home in the cab again, and I had a great trip. At home we watched some Lip Sync Battle, loud music and goofiness. So I loved it. And then we watched a couple of episodes of Graham Norton, a talk show from Britain which I love because the host, Graham Norton is loud and energetic and funny. Plus I love the bit he does at the end of the show called the Big Red chair, when he gets audience members to sit in a ‘big red chair’ and tell some story and then Graham and his guests get to decide if it’s a good story or not, and if it’s not the chair flips over with them still in it. I always hope they get flipped!

On Sunday it was a bit quieter, I hung out watching TV in my room because there were too many dogs in the house for me. My Uncle George came over with his giant German Shepherd Winchester and he and Frigga play like the craziest dogs ever, so I just stayed safe in my room and watched TV while they went crazy playing tug of war with their blanket, playing with the balls and just chasing each other in the house.
But the best part of Sunday was when my brothers girlfriend came over for a couple of seconds. My brother Sean didn’t come home this weekend, he was busy playing in the field with the army, probably doing training or something. But Melissa came over, she couldn’t stay but she brought me a chocolate eclair, because she knows how much I love them.
After dinner I got to eat that donut and it was awesome.

Best Weekend Ever!

Easter Weekend

I had such a great Easter Weekend with my family. It started on Wednesday night, when my brother came back from base. It was awesome, I had no clue that he was coming. He just walked through the door and surprised me.
On Thursday while I was at school Sean went and got the bikes all tuned up and ready for a new season. When I got home he and I played some video games together and had a lot of fun.

On Friday everybody got on their bikes, and I got into my bike trailer and we went for a quick test ride to make sure that everything worked well and I got to have such a fun time. My trailer was hooked up to Sean’s bike and he was awesome. He’d pause or slow down and let my Mom, Dad and Ceilidh get ahead of us and then he’d go real fast so that we could catch up to them. I laughed so hard.

Saturday wasn’t very nice, it was cool and rainy, so I hung out inside with Ceilidh and Sean and played video games and listened to loud music together. I had the best time.

Sunday morning I did a quick egg hunt, which actually ended up with me having more squishy toys for the bath, so I’m super happy.
Then after we hung out for a bit, we all got out on the bikes and went for a good ride to a nice park and I got to have some time on the swing as well as go for a whirl on the round-about.

On Monday life seemed to get a little less amazing, Sean had to get ready and then leave to return to base. Ceilidh played video games with me and we listened to some of my favorite songs.  And Mom got me ready to return to school on Tuesday.
I think I had a pretty good weekend. I’m so happy that the good weather is back so I can get out more and go on all the bike rides that we can cram in to our weekends.

Dance Party Weekend

On Friday when I got home from school, Mom was playing music and dancing around the house, being really silly. I liked it and joined in. We danced and laughed and made each other really happy.
Later in the evening, just in time for dinner, Sean came home, beating Dad by a little bit. Together we ate, watched some TV and then we all went to bed because we were all really tired.

Saturday
In the morning the house was getting cleaned up and Mom put music on in my room while she tidied up a bit in my room. I wiggled and danced and had fun watching Mom clean up my mess.
Ceilidh took off for the weekend to go and hang out with her friend, so it was just Sean, Mom, Dad and me and what did we do? We watched The Grinch who Stole Christmas, Frosty the Snowman and then Mom put on my music again, and this time she’d added a some new songs, well they aren’t new because I’d heard them before and really love them, but they were new to my playlist.  See that link up near the top of this blog that says ‘music‘, if you click it you will find my playlist, full of some of my favorite songs. Mom keeps adding more to it.

Sunday
Some moving things around in the house done today. I supervised because I’m awesome.
Then I got to watch some more Christmas specials, hang out with my Dad and Sean and play video games with them.
Then in the evening we watched a bit of the Grey Cup and then to finish the day I snuggled up with Mom and watched Miracle on 34th Street with the family (the original black and white one that Mom and Dad insist is the best one ever).

After we finished watching the movie I was pretty excited, but Mom put me to bed and I lay in bed for a bit talking to myself, but finally I fell asleep.

And that was my fun filled weekend

Santa’s Arrival Weekend

This weekend was pretty fun. First I was off school on Friday and I got to sleep in. It’s funny that Mom and Dad had to go to school when I’m not there and meet with my teacher. Dad said he was going to take one of my flying lessons, and Mom wanted to check out my sensory bin that has all the rice in it. I laughed at them, because that’s just silly!

They had to run errands for the rest of the day on Friday, which meant that I was at home with Ceilidh, and of course I was in charge. So she had to feed me donuts, brownies and jelly rolls. All the best things to eat! She and I watched movies together and just hung out having a no-parents allowed day. It was a lot of fun.

On Saturday I played with my birthday presents, making beautiful music with my jingle beads, fooling around with my hungry caterpillar toy in my bed and having a lot of fun. I even attacked my book shelf and read a few of my books to myself. I also managed to finish watching the last season of the Family Guy on Netflix, which made Mom happy until I reminded her that I can always just start watching the whole thing over again, from the beginning. She frowned and I laughed. hahahaha.

On Sunday we got up and started to get ready for Santa to come to town. Mom and Dad ran out to get a few goodies. Ceilidh and I started watching our annual Christmas movies (if you don’t count watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, because we’ve been watching that movie since before Halloween) by watching The Grinch and Frosty the Snowman. Then we ate dinner and watched the Santa Clause parade.
Sean surprised us Sunday night by dropping by quick on his way back to base from up in North Bay, where he spent the weekend celebrating his girlfriend Melissa’s birthday.
So he came home, had some dinner with us and watched the Santa Clause parade with me.

And on top of all that, see that bar at the top of the screen there? See where it says ‘Music‘ if you click on that, or just on the link there, Mom has put my music playlist and she has promised me that she’s going to keep adding my favorite music and any other playlists that she makes for me (like a Christmas one that she’s making up for me right now.)
